I’m keeping it short this week. No preamble.
- Writing for Medium, Paul Ford has an interesting piece on the advantages of being polite. I get too much of a visceral thrill from being a jerk to follow his advice, though.
- In a guest article at Kotaku, Obsidian game designer Josh Sawyer writes about the process and challenges of designing a well-balanced RPG. It’s a must-read for anyone who is interested in game design, both video and tabletop.
- In light of the tragic and disturbing events in Ferguson, Missouri, Amos Barshad of Grantland writes about rappers’ responses to the crisis.
- (Possible trigger warning) Writing for Medium, Luke Malone tells the tragic stories of young pedophiles who are doing their best not to act on their urges.
Well, that was kind of heavy. More humour next week, possibly.
