Time for a brief, lighthearted What I’ve Been Reading.
- A couple of months ago, Gawker’s Caity Weaver tried to take advantage of T.G.I. Friday’s endless appetizers promotion by ordering seven plates of mozzarella sticks. This is what happened. (Warning: do not try this yourself.)
- It’s always interesting to read about the history of games. The Big Game Hunter’s Bruce Whitehill traces the origins of The Game of Life, or as it was known for most of its existence, The Checkered Game of Life.
- Finally, Nathan Pyle has written and illustrated a humorous book of tips and etiquette for living in New York City. Here are animated versions of some of those tips. (Courtesy of Abby S. Marino of Distractify.)
Alright, go take a nap or something. I’m out of here.
