I’ve been sitting on these pieces for a while and haven’t had the chance to blog until now. So enjoy four things I read a couple of weeks ago.

  • This GQ piece by Doug Bock Clark tells the story of Siti, one of the two women accused of killing Kim Jong-nam, half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. It’s a bizarre tale, and it’s well worth reading.
  • Writing for Earther, Maddie Stone explains how hundreds of species rafted across the Pacific Ocean on trash in the wake of the 2011 Fukushima earthquake off the coast of Japan. Not only did they survive the journey; some of them reproduced en route!
  • The Department of Justice of the United States labelled Juggalos, fans of horrorcore duo Insane Clown Posse, a gang in 2011. So earlier this year, the Juggalos marched on Washington in protest. Kyle Ryan of the A.V. Club explains. My take: The Juggalos aren’t a gang, and the DoJ are fucking morons.
  • Finally, Nintendo fan and contributor to the gaming podcast I run Wolfman J has an interesting piece on the toyetic quality of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle’s team jump mechanic. I agree with my boy Wolfy; it’s hella fun to use!

That’s all for now. See ya later!
