The 2012-2013 Refrigerator Rants End-of-Season Awards

It’s time to (belatedly) celebrate the end of the television season by giving out meaningless awards!

Sorry for being so late with this. I’ve been busy with other things and haven’t had much time to reflect on the TV season that just passed. But more importantly, I had a lot of frustrations with TV dramas this past season, which sapped my motivation to do these awards. But this has become somewhat of a tradition at the blog, so despite the drama categories being even thinner than last year (based on what I watched), I’m still going to pick my favourite performers and TV shows. The awards can be found after the jump. More

2012 is now well behind us (and the world didn’t end, yay!) so it’s time to look forward to remainder of 2013 and the various entertainments it will bring. This week marked the end of era of sorts for Cougar Town. Having been dropped by ABC, the show is moving to TBS next season. Kevin Biegel and Bill Lawrence are stepping down as showrunners, handing the reins over to Ric Swartzlander. Cougar Town may never be the same again. But that’s okay, because I can think of no better end to this era than this week’s double-header season finale, “My Life”/”Your World.” More

2012 is in full swing now, and it might be the final year of humanity’s existence! While we count down the days to our certain doom, we still have plenty of stuff to look forward to. Apparently, the people who make music, movies, TV, books, and games haven’t received the memo about the end of the world. That’s all for the best, I suppose. I’m not spending my last year of existence in a panic. No way. I’m going to live it up and enjoy these fine things that 2012 will bring: More
